“Recently I came across an old book with poems, written by an unknown to me poetess “Violet” from the 19th century Dunfermline. All I knew about her was her real name – Mrs D.H.Gordon as stated in the book, that the book was published after her tragic death and that prior to the book, her poems had been printed monthly in Dunfermline Press.
I would like to say thank you to Marion, who helped to shed more light on the life of “Violet” and her unfortunate health condition and also appreciation that she had been receiving through her lifetime by her friends and family. Thanks to Marion’s amazing research skills the story of Mrs Jessie Gordon will not be forgotten and hopefully become known to the new generation of Dunfermline citizens. Thank you very much.”Best Wishes, Natalia.
